Osiris for students, walk through
Homepage
The homepage shows the following items:
- Special message of the day.
- The calendar of the current week for scheduled exams.
- Cases - only for students of ABEL.
- New grades.
- New messages (a message is an email send through Osiris).
- New notes.
- A link for staying abroad (exchange, Erasmus+ placement grant).
- A link to the Osiris instructions for students.
My details
Via the profile picture top right, or with a small screen, on the hamburger button top left the 'My details' menu can be opened. This menu contains the following items:
- Personal details, like name, ID etc. Here the student can upload a profile picture.
- Contact details, like email address, mobile phone, etc.
- Groups (class code).
- Enrolment degree programme. The status of the enrolment is shown and the student can print a 'Declaration of enrolment'.
- Additional information, like the GO/NOGO for graduation AHF.
- Facilities, like increased letter type.
- Documents, like the Transcript of Records of an outgoing exchange.
Calendar
The calendar shows the date, time and room of scheduled exams. The student can also see the calendar of future weeks.
Grades
The 'Grades' menu shows all the grades.
- If the student clicks on a grade, the details of the exam will show.
- Here the student can also see the final grade of the course.
Progress
The 'Progress' menu shows the following items:
- The programme(s) and the number of credits obtained.
- The study advice.
- Failed courses: student participated all exams, the final result is insufficient.
- Courses to be completed: student participated no exam or not all the exams of the course.
- Courses completed: student participated all exams, the final result is sufficient.
- The form for requesting exemption (not used by AGM and AT).
- The study progress overview. When clicking this button, the student can select the following preferences before printing the overview.
In the study progress overview the student can click on courses for registering for exams.
If the student wants to retake an exam already passed, registration is only possible via the study progress overview.
8. File overview (top right corner). When clicking this button the following preferences can be chosen.
Messages
- The 'Messages' menu shows all messages (emails sent from Osiris) in the inbox.
- When a message is opened, the student can archive the message. Archived messages can be found here.
Enrol
Via the 'Enrol' menu the student can register for an exam (test) and a specialisation, pre-enrol for a minor and print an overview of enrolments.
- The menu 'Enrol test' only shows exams of the students programme.
- By clicking on the arrow, the student can register for the exam.
- By clicking on the 'i' detailed course information will show about the exams (tests), the registration periods (test enrolment) and lecturers. Clicking on a lecturer gives contact information: BUas email address (always) and phone number (only when the lecturer has registered the phone number via Osiris Lecturer). From this point the student can directly send an email of make a call.
Course catalogue
In the course catalogue you can find all courses. This menu can also be accessed from Osiris Lecturer.
Tutors
The menu 'Tutors' shows the student's coach(es). By clicking on a coach, the contact information appears. From this point the student can directly send an email or make a call.
Notes
If a note is visable for a student, it shows here. A student always receives a notification by email about a new note. Clicking on a note shows the content. The student can archive notes (same as messages).
FAQ
When clicking on the '?' button (on every screen) the FAQ opens. From here the student can use the 'Feedback' button to send a question directly to the Osiris emailbox.
